GET INVOLVED!

We have many ways that our community partners help us make Adoption Day a success.  Below are the areas in which we seek community involvement to help us:

Financial Donation

Financial donations allow us to offset the cost of decorations, mailing, printing, refreshments and other items for the families.  Adoption Day is part of Community Partners of Tarrant County, a 501(c)(3) organization.  All donations are tax deductible.  If you would like to make a financial donation to Adoption Day, please click here to contact one of our Chair, Robley Sicard.  All donors and sponsors will be included in print material and on our website.

In Kind Donation

Similar to financial donations, in kind donations help us to offset our costs and allow

us to focus our efforts on making the day fantastic for all the families involved.  In

kinds donations can be anything from refreshments, drinks, give aways for the family

welcome bags, super hero related items for the children (our theme for the event is Super Heroes), etc.  Adoption Day is

part of Community Partners of Tarrant County, a 501(c)(3) organization.  The value of your donation is tax deductible.  If you would like to make an in kind donation to Adoption Day, please click here to contact one of our Chair, Robley Sicard.  All donors and sponsors will be included in print material and on our website.

Sponsor a Specific Part of Adoption Day

Each year we have several special items we incorporate with the event to make it extra special for the families, and especially the children.  We attempt to partner with a company, individual or organization to help us with the cost of this specific area.  For example, each year we invite a local author who wrote a children's book about adoption to come to the event.  He offers to give away one book for each book we purchase.  Also, we provide a super hero cape to each adopted child and we try to find a community partner to help us offset this cost.  A list of items you or your company/organization could sponsor include: (1) refreshments and drinks, (2) children's book on adoption, (3) super hero capes for the adopted children, (4) matted frames for the families first official family photograph after the adoption, (5) Idiot's Guide to Super Heroes for each family, and (6) the welcome bags for each family.  Adoption Day is part of Community Partners of Tarrant County, a 501(c)(3) organization. Your contribution is tax deductible. If you would like to sponsor to Adoption Day, please click here to contact one of our Chair, Robley Sicard.  All donors and sponsors will be included in print material and on our website.

Stuffed Animal and Book Drives

Each child that attends Adoption Day, whether they are adopted or not, gets to take home

a stuffed animal of their choosing.  In addition, we provide one new, age appropriate book

to each adopted child.  Needless to say, that means we need LOTS of stuffed animals to fill the courtrooms and books for the kids.  In addition, any stuffed animals left over from Adoption Day are utilized by the family law judges to give to adopted children throughout the rest of the year.  If you, your company or an organization you are a member of would like to hold a bear drive, please click here to contact Robley Sicard who can get you all the information you need.  All donors and sponsors will be included in print material and on our website.

Post Adoption Information Tables

Adoption is a fantastic ending for the children and the families to the fost care process.  The children are joining loving, forever families.  But, this can often mean a lack of information and support to the families who adopted the children on how to access benefits, where to go with questions, or what to do if they need additional support after the adoption is complete for the child or themselves.  In an effort to belay some of these concerns, we started in 2015 with our post adoption information tables.  We offer space for 10 agencies or organizations, on a first come, first serve basis, to have a table at Adoption Day to hand out information, answer questions and make parents aware of the organizations available to help them after

the adoption is complete.  This is free to the agencies and organizations, but a

donation to the event would always be appreciated.  If you would like more information

about this or would like to be included on the invite list for our next event, please click here

to contact Linda Garcia.
